This Blackthorn Shillelagh has a lovely mature appearance, with particularly beautiful colour running through the natural Blackthorn bark. The age and character of the wood give the stick a wonderfully traditional look, with plenty of natural variation along the shaft.
The handle features a slightly bent shoulder leading into a smaller natural knob head. Although the knob is not particularly large, the shape of the shoulder allows it to sit very comfortably in the hand and gives you a natural position for holding the stick while walking.
At 103 cm, this is a longer traditional Irish walking stick with a beautiful combination of mature bark, natural colour and an understated knob handle. It is a lovely example of how the natural growth of Blackthorn can create both character and a comfortable grip.
