This Blackthorn Shillelagh features a particularly unusual T-shaped head, with a large natural handle extending out on either side at the top. It is an eye-catching shape that immediately makes this stick stand out from the more familiar knob-handled Shillelaghs.
The wide T-shaped head is very interesting and comfortable to hold, offering plenty of space for the hand and different ways to grip the stick. Its unusual form comes from the natural growth of the Blackthorn, giving this particular Shillelagh a character that could never be exactly reproduced.
Finished with boiled linseed oil, the natural colour, bark and texture of the Blackthorn remain beautifully visible, giving the entire stick a rustic traditional appearance. At 97 cm, this is a one-of-a-kind Irish walking stick with a particularly distinctive natural head.
