This traditional Blackthorn Shillelagh measures 103 cm and features a small natural root ball knob handle. The root ball has been kept close to its original form, giving the stick an authentic, understated appearance with plenty of natural Blackthorn character.
The smaller root ball sits comfortably in the hand, while the naturally shaped shaft retains the markings and variations that make every piece of Irish Blackthorn different. Its simple knob shape and natural proportions give this stick the classic look associated with a traditional Irish Shillelagh.
A natural oil finish helps protect the wood while bringing out the colour, grain and character of the Blackthorn without disguising its natural appearance. This is a one-of-a-kind Irish walking stick with a particularly traditional look and feel.
You’ll receive the exact stick shown in the photos. The stick can be sized to your preferred length — you can leave a note at checkout or get in touch to discuss, although we generally recommend shortening it yourself once you have it in hand so you can choose the perfect height.
